Entertaining is in my DNA
Growing up, while most children played with Lincoln Logs and rode bikes, I designed menus and wedding invitations with crayons, and lead make-believe “docent” tours of my childhood home.
The youngest of four with 12-15 years difference between my oldest sibling and me, I accompanied my parents to cocktail and dinner parties. I learned from a very early age the art of small talk, how to mix a Shirley Temple, set a beautiful table, and that asparagus jello is terrible and should never be served to humans. Like humorist Will Rogers once said, “A stranger is just a friend I haven’t met.” All my childhood practice fostered my creativity and desire to meet new people and seek joy every day.
I founded Home with a Twist, a daughter’s twist on her mother’s traditions, in memory of my mother to celebrate her life and the gifts she shared with me. Mother loved to celebrate life’s occasions – big and small. But most of all, Mother loved her home. I think that’s why my home is so important to me. I look forward to creating joy filled experiences with you soon.
I'd love to hear from you.
